As Datalogic grew bigger and stronger, so did technology. Between the 70s and the 80s, sensors were the hottest topic in electronic engineering. Datalogic moved quickly past lamp-based technology to fully embrace LED (“Light Emitting Diode”) solutions, from RGB to UV LED. Having more reliable and precise sensors made it suddenly possible to reduce plant and machine energy costs, scale down maintenance and downtime. Datalogic’s key customers in the packaging industries now had a competitive, technological advantage to gain the upper hand in their market. The company’s quest for better solutions and devices was racing forward with a relentless, uncompromising drive for innovation.
