Between 2005 and 2012, following the acquisition of PSC and under the sign of a new logo (the one still in place today), the Datalogic group was reorganized into two operative companies: Datalogic ADC (incorporating Datalogic Scanning and Datalogic Mobile) and Datalogic Automation (incorporating Datasensor). Datalogic ADC was mainly focused on the traditional data capture business, with hand-held, fixed retail scanners and mobile computers. Datalogic Automation became the reference hub for factory automation products and applications (stationary industrial scanners, laser marking, sensors and safety devices) and with two important acquisitions in the US (Accu-Sort Systems and PPT Vision), consolidated its global leadership and entered the world of machine vision.
