Datalogic’s Magellan 1500i scanner is a high performance presentation scanner for a variety of applications including retail point of sale, pharmacy and customer service.  The Magellan 1500i pairs imaging scanning expertise developed for our larger scanners with an innovative, compact design to create the most powerful presentation scanner on the market. The addition of Digimarc Barcode decoding makes the Magellan 1500i scanner uniquely capable of handling both current and future scanning needs.

The Magellan 1500i uses a high performance megapixel sensor and custom optics to create a large reading area capable of reading at distances up to 25 cm and with 1D sweep speeds up to 1.5 m/s.  Powerful decoding algorithms provide unmatched performance on a variety of 1D and 2D labels, including hard-to-read, truncated and damaged codes.  The large reading area and sweep performance of the Magellan 1500i scanner makes scanning easy and intuitive even for novice users. 

The consistent, comfortable illumination enables seamless reading of 1D and 2D bar codes from printed or mobile sources while reducing reflection and eliminating flickering that can cause operator discomfort. 

Datalogic’s Motionix™ motion-sensing technology enables the scanner to intuitively switch into hand held mode when the device is picked up. This turns on an LED aimer, while ‘Green Spot’ technology provides good-read confirmation directly on the code.  When placed back on the counter, the scanner seamlessly returns to stand mode.

With its small footprint and attractive design, the Magellan 1500i scanner compliments any point of sale or service environment.  Classic black and white enclosures pair with a variety of mounting options to make this a versatile, powerful product in an attractive, compact package.
